Wedding Vibes.

This weekend, I was so honored to share in celebrating the wedding of two great people, Nelson and Sherri, who I met through my boyfriend. Being Armenian, most of the weddings I've been to have been Armenian, so I was very thrilled to be able to see the different cultural side of a Chinese wedding. Everything was so beautiful and the food was so good.

Since it wasn't a typical Armenian wedding, I wanted to take a bit of a risk with my dress. I had been eyeing this dress from Lioness for so long, but every time I tried to buy it, it was always sold out! So you can imagine my surprise and excitement when I saw the exact same design at...you ready?...Forever 21! It was in a color I don't usually wear, but I'm all about taking risks in my wardrobe and I think it paid off.

I put this whole look together from head to toe for under $100. The dress from Forever 21 was $30, the choker necklace is from Burlington for $3, which is very similar to this necklace by Jules Smith, my heels are from H&M at $30, and my rings are combinations of baubles I picked up in various stores.

I accentuated my dress with gold details in my look from my necklace to my rings to my nails. P.S. I'm obsessing over my nail color, it's Sally Hansen Miracle Gel in Terra-Coppa.

And what's better to match me in this dress than my handsome man.

Remember that the devil's in the details...shoes, timepiece, and all.

Summer Fashion Trends.

This weekend was Memorial Day Weekend, and I was busy getting ready to party it up to ring in summer! If only this LA weather will allow. But either way, I plan to kick of this summer by rocking some fashion essentials that are key for this season. There are a lot of things happening in the fashion world this season that I want to share with you all, but I can't help but notice that some of the Spring season trends are still here to stay! Check out some of those trends by clicking on my Spring Fashion Essentials post.

For summer, I'm bringing you guys six essential trends that you can sport and look like the fashionista in your group of friends. Now without further ado, here are the six pieces you need to start your summer and continue looking great all season. Click on the photos to shop all the looks!!

1. Dad Hats: Dad hats have made a surprising comeback in the trend cycle and its perfect to keep your face safe from the beaming summer sun. Dad hats are exactly what they sound like...they're like those hats that your dad used to wear on the weekends when he'd take you to the park or go golfing. I love that awesome brands are embracing this trend and putting their logos on these hats, like this Antisocial Social Club hat, Drake 6 God hat, and a throwback Calvin Klein logo hat.

Antisocial Social Club Weird Cap, $36.00
Calvin Klein Baseball Cap, $39.00
Jordan 12 "The Master" 6 God Dad Hat, $21.99

2. Boudoir Inspired Dresses: Slip dresses aren't just for wearing underneath your regular dresses anymore! These lingerie style dresses are really light and cute for the summer heat. Anything with spaghetti straps and lace detailing is an A in my book.

Forever 21 Contemporary Layered Slip Dress, $24.99
Choise Pink Lace Up Front Cami Dress, $12.90
Her Velvet Vase Wintour Classic Maxi, $60.00

3. Playful Sheer Socks: I know what you're thinking...socks for summer?! But no, trust me, these socks are perfect for summer. The sheerness of the socks make them really airy and they breathe easier in the heat. Add a cute pattern to them and they are great! Pair them with a pointy heel for a super New York street style look.

Greatlookz Rock Your Socks Whimsical Doodle Semi Sheer Socks, $8.99
Target Women's Trouser Sock 3-Pack, $7.00
Chelsea 28 Sheer Brocade Crew Socks, $9.00

4. Corn Rows/Boxer Braids: Before the Kardashians started wearing their hair in boxer braids, the African American culture was embracing this trend for years. This hairstyle has been popping up all over, though, even on red carpets. Whenever I can put my hair up and don't have to blow it out, I'm happy, especially in the summer when hair gets frizzy and damp from sweat! This do is ideal for this season.

5. Flat Wire Rimmed Sunglasses: Thick rimmed sunglasses are so last year! Dainty wire rimmed sunglasses are all the rage now. They're giving me a 70's vibe and actually pair really well with trend #2, boudoir inspired dresses.

Marc Jacobs Metal-Rim Gradient Cat Eye Sunglasses, $200
Forever 21 Cutout Trim Sunglasses, $9.90
Lulu's Sunday Stroll Gold and Taupe Sunglasses, $17.00

6. White Sneakers: White is a very summer color and accenting your outfit with a white sneaker is the ultimate cool girl style. These go great with any outfit. My favorite things to wear with them are dresses. It't a really great way to make a dress wearable during the day. Switch to heels at night for your summer night parties!

H&M Platform Sneakers, $29.99
Comme de Garcons Converse Low Top Sneaker, $120
Forever 21 Embroidered Eyelet Sneakers, $14.90

Five Spring 2016 Fashion Essentials.

Today marked the first day of Spring and nothing excites me more about a new season is the introduction of new fashion styles and trends! It's getting warmer so its time to store your sweaters away and bring out your short sleeves.

I'm bringing you guys 5 new trends that are in this season and how you can cop them in any piece of your wardrobe. Don't worry...I'm not going to say florals, because, as Miranda Priestly says, "Florals for Spring? Groundbreaking". It's typical, and Taltalsays is anything but!

So here we go, 5 spring trends that your closet needs. Shop all these looks by clicking the photos!!

1. Button Front Skirts: I love when fashion from different eras comes back into style and these skirts are totally reminiscent of the 90's. They're really fresh when paired with light tops. I personally like them in denim, but there are so many different styles perfect for all tastes.

Forever 21 Suede Skater Skirt, $37.90
Mossimo Supply Co., $19.99
H&M Twill Skirt, $29.99

2. Ring Details: I've been seeing a lot of details in clothing, handbags, and jewelry with metal rings and I think its really chic. I love them in jewelry, especially in chokers, which are also really in fashion right now. I'm loving these piece.

Air Sign LA Full Moon Choker. $120
Banana Republic Italian Vachetta Bucket Bag, $118
Rue Gembon Hadara Gold Collar, $58

3. Bold Drop Earrings: Statement necklaces are out and bold drop earrings are in! Drop earrings with pops of color are really great ways to spice up an outfit. It can also greatly compliment your makeup and bring your whole look together.

H&M Large Earrings, $9.99
House of Harlow 1960 Anza Drop Earrings, $68
Baublebar Nolita Drops, $38

4. Off the Shoulder: Off the shoulder tops and dresses are a fun bohemian inspired trend that's really figure friendly and can make you look like you just walked out of New York Fashion Week. I'm excited about this trend, because when I wear it, I no longer have to worry about getting strappy tan lines!

Topshop "Livi" Off the Shoulder Top, $60
Three of Something Formlines Reservoir Top, $154
Lovers + Friends Life's a Beach Top, $139

5. Stripes: Stripes are EVERYWHERE this Spring. They're in shoes, they're in tops, they're even in swimwear! I love a good laid back, striped button down top paired with a button front skirt. Two trends in one. Try to explore colors when wearing stripes, don't just stick to black and white! I, for one, am keen on pink and white stripes.

Fall Fashion and Essentials.

It is finally starting to feel like fall in LA (for now) so it's time to bring out your sweaters and coats! I have high hopes this weather will last if only so we can all start wearing the fashion. I love everything about fall...the fashion, the crisp air, the pumpkin treats, and fall air scents. Anyone agree?

Fall, in my opinion, is the most fashionable season because there are so many pieces you can wear and layer. Your body is a beautiful canvas for layering the best trendy fall pieces and I'm here to talk about the trendiest of trends this fall, whether its fashion, accessories, new designer collections, or scents...these are the essentials for any gal!

1. Backpacks: Ditch your ordinary purse this season and opt for a modern, grown up backpack. When a backpack is leather and possibly adorned with studs and such, it takes a school days nostalgia item to an adult world. This Michael Kors pink/beige backpack is really fun and the zippers add a cool element.

2. Suede Apparel: The 70's are totally back this season and suede is a great representation of the era. Suede takes a look to a sophisticated level, good for work and play! I especially like suede pieces in earthy shades like brown, tan, and this burgundy like this burgundy shift dress from Forever 21.

3. Earthy Scented Candles: Gone are the days of pumpkin and gingerbread scented candles for fall. Change up the scent of your home by using candles with earthy scents rather than fruity or typical holiday ones. This Mahogany Teakwood candle from Bath and Body Works is a perfect woody scent.

4. Marc Jacobs Alice In Wonderland Phone Cases: I am loving Marc Jacobs' new collection of Alice in Wonderland inspired phone cases. There are so many different cases, exhibiting different characters from the movie. This Door Knob character case is my favorite one.

5. Sugar Paper LA for Target: Sugar Paper LA is a really cute stationary store in LA specializing in stationary, gift wrapping, and the like. I was so excited when they brought in a line of products to Target! There are a bunch of really fun gift wrapping supplies just in time for Christmas. All the products have gold accents, which, as you know, is my favorite color accent. This Sugar Paper LA 2016 Planner is so practical, and so pretty to boot!

6. Dark Purple Lips: Berry shade lips scream fall! I'm loving more purple tones, its a cool change from deep red colors. Paired with a fresh face and dramatic lashes, its the perfect look. I'm obsessed with Bite Beauty Cashmere Lip Cream in Bordeaux.

7. Y Necklaces: Y Necklaces are necklaces with a hanging accent that makes the necklace create a Y shape around your neck. I think its super trendy and a great way to bring some attention to your decolletage. It looks amazing worn with a deep cut top. This Vince Camuto Y necklace with crystals has detail to spark interest.

8. Over the Knee Boots: Over the knee boots are kicking booties off the list of fall trends this season. These boots are so chic and pair well with clothes that fit the 70's trend. They look great with dresses and skirts, but just remember not to let the gap between the boots and the hem of your dress or skirt exceed 5 inches. These black suede over the knee boots from H&M are simple yet so, so elegant and fashion forward.

What do you guys think? Are there any other notable trends we can share? Happy fall and happy shopping!

Last Minute Holiday Gifts for the Ladies.

There are a lot of people in this world who are proactive and on top of their Christmas shopping every year, but if you're like me...you're still looking for those last minute gifts for your loved ones! Keeping in tone, this post is also about a couple weeks too late, but I hope that it will find purpose to some of you out there who are still out there looking for gifts. An issue I often run into while shopping is getting too many little things that don't add up to enough of a gift. With these additions, you can complete any gift with style and trend. The best part is that these gifts don't adhere to a specific type of taste, these gifts will be loved by everyone. Here we go!...

1. Frends Taylor headphones from Forever 21.

2. Cashmere burgundy scarf from H&M.

3. NCLA wrap nails in "Fowl Play" from NCLA.com.

4. Fujifilm Instamax mini 8 Polaroid camera from Best Buy.

5. TOMS for Target denim shoes from Target.

6. Bucket bag in Cognac from Old Navy

Look out for my boys' Christmas gift list coming shortly!

Vegas Nails.

Last week, I was preparing to go to Las Vegas for the weekend and I wanted to spice up my nails to be Vegas-eque. Now, I love the professional work that some nail salons like Buff and Tweeze do, but paying $10 for each accent nail is kind of steep, so I decided to paint them myself. When I'm doing designs on my nails, I look to do things that are 1. easy, 2. fast, and 3. cost effective. And by cost effective, I mean a reasonable price that will last long on my nails. I collected a few ideas from Pinterest and Instagram and came up with this design...

I don't toot my own horn often, but I'm going to here :) Each nail is different, but in the same color palette. These are the tools I used...

Sally Hansen "Blackout", Forever21 "Nude", Sally Hansen Salon Effects in leopard, and nail studs.

The Sally Hansen salon effects are really easy to apply and require no dry time...and before you think its a sticker, know that they are made of nail polish materials and to remove them you have to use nail polish remover.

The studs are tiny plastic pieces I purchased from Etsy.com and are super easy to apply...

  1. Using a toothpick, dip the tip in a clear coat nail polish and place a droplet of it onto the area of your nail in which you want to place the stud.
  2. Using the same end of the toothpick, pick up a single stud from the top. The clear coat acts like glue to pick up the stud.
  3. Place the stud on the desired area where you initially placed a droplet of the clear coat.
  4. Seal the studs with a top coat to secure them. They last about 10 days!

Finally, I just painted a couple nails with a solid color to offset the accent nails. So cute, and I got so many compliments for them from my friends and even a bunch of strangers. This took me literally 20 minutes to do and its so great for various occasions.

Summer Fashion.

Memorial Day has gone and passed and that means...its summer! To me, summer is a time to have fun with fashion and take some risks. So I've compiled some trends that I think are prominent this summer season. These trends are fashion forward and fun and can be incorporated in your wardrobe in so many ways. Here are some examples with descriptions followed....

  1. Chains
Chains are back! But I'm not talking like 2 Chainz, pop rapper status...Short chains are the jam, and I like ones like this one found at H&M that have a different design than ordinary 2 link chains. I think this statement piece pairs well with a pastel colored blouse or a denim jacket.

     2.   Kimonos

Kimonos have somehow made their way from Japan to the US, and I'm loving it! Especially with some fringe on the sleeves. It's a cute piece to throw over shorts and a tank for a casual lunch or even a festival. I personally like to wear a kimono as a swimsuit cover, so perfect for pool parties this summer. This kimono can be found on Polyvore.com.

     3.   Metallic Tattoos

Remember when you were 12 and thought you were so cool getting those temporary tattoos from vending machines? Well, this is way cooler than that. Summer is a time to bare a little more skin and adorning your body with these cool gold and silver metallic tattoos are so much fun! This pack of metallic tattoos is from Forever 21 and has pieces to tattoo as a necklace, bracelet, anklet, or ring.

     4.   Orange Hue Makeup

Orange is the new black, people! This season, incorporate orange hued makeup into your look. But be careful...accent your makeup with orange in just ONE element of your makeup, not all of it. For example, I like adding a pop of orange to my lips with this MAC lipstick "Lady Danger", available at MAC stores or Nordstrom.

     5.   Thick Strappy Sandals

I'm loving sandals with thick straps this season. It's a plus when they are two toned. These are a fabulous find from UrbanOg.com.

    6.    Geometric Shapes

Geometric shapes on clothing were all over the runway for this season. You can incorporate it into any piece of your outfit. I like it on this small purse from Zara. It includes a pattern of hexagons on a really trendy mustard color.

    7.   Long Vests

This piece kind of look like they made a comeback from the 80's, but I think they are really chic and fashion forward. I love this white draped vest from Forever 21. I would pair it with dark jeans and a fitted crop top.
